There are two truths about abortion that need to be remembered today: abortion is not necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman. Pro-Abort folks, if they were honest, would say it's to save their convenient lifestyle. And finally, there has never been a documented case of any women using a coat hanger to perform an abortion-----ever!Feminists were successful in their plight, and they convinced the majority that the only 'humane' option for them was to terminate their unwanted pregnancies, or risk death themselves from self-induced abortions. What was once considered killing and illegal, had suddenly become legal. Go figure. This was a clear example of a successful lie, and moral relativism - murder yesterday, and a medical necessity tomorrow. Everyone, except for the Catholic Church, was fooled.
--The Coat Hanger: America's Most Diabolical Murder Weapon
surgical instruments cut and rip you out of existence. These instruments are far worse than coat hangers! Besides, modern science has clearly determined that unborn babies feel excruciating pain during an abortion, and yet Canada remains among the evil 7 countries of the world that continue to permit abortion after 20 weeks.
In 2011, approximately 1.06 million abortions took place in the U.S., down from an estimated 1.21 million abortions in 2008, 1.29 million in 2002, 1.31 million in 2000 and 1.36 million in 1996. From 1973 through 2011, nearly 53 million legal abortions occurred in the U.S. -- Guttmacher Institute (Abort73.com)Little did the '60s generation realize, that two wrongs don't make a right. Instead of growing up and being responsible for the consequences of pre-martial sex and infidelity, men and women fooled themselves into thinking that contraception and abortion were morally the right thing to do. The culture changed quickly in their favour, whereas, only the Catholic Church voiced strong opposition in Humanae Vitae, by Pope Paul VI (1968):
Therefore We base Our words on the first principles of a human and Christian doctrine of marriage when We are obliged once more to declare that the direct interruption of the generative process already begun and, above all, all direct abortion, even for therapeutic reasons, are to be absolutely excluded as lawful means of regulating the number of children. Equally to be condemned, as the magisterium of the Church has affirmed on many occasions, is direct sterilization, whether of the man or of the woman, whether permanent or temporary.The fact is that once heterosexuals rationalized the separation of sexual intercourse from pro-creation, all hell broke loose. This paved the way for contraception, abortion, normalization of pre-martial sex, destruction of marriage, divorce, and the redefinition of marriage to include same-sex relationships and polyamory. Pope Paul VI was indeed a prophet of his time. What most people saw as progressive, he saw as a recipe for destruction and death.
Similarly excluded is any action which either before, at the moment of, or after sexual intercourse, is specifically intended to prevent procreation—whether as an end or as a means.
Neither is it valid to argue, as a justification for sexual intercourse which is deliberately contraceptive, that a lesser evil is to be preferred to a greater one, or that such intercourse would merge with procreative acts of past and future to form a single entity, and so be qualified by exactly the same moral goodness as these. Though it is true that sometimes it is lawful to tolerate a lesser moral evil in order to avoid a greater evil or in order to promote a greater good," it is never lawful, even for the gravest reasons, to do evil that good may come of it — in other words, to intend directly something which of its very nature contradicts the moral order, and which must therefore be judged unworthy of man, even though the intention is to protect or promote the welfare of an individual, of a family or of society in general. Consequently, it is a serious error to think that a whole married life of otherwise normal relations can justify sexual intercourse which is deliberately contraceptive and so intrinsically wrong.

If you are not yet convinced that we are living in a culture of death, perhaps the death count figures in the table below will convince you:
|Mao||78 Million (1943-1976)|
|Abortion in America||53 Million (1973-2011)|
|Stalin||23 Million (1922-1953)|
|Hitler||17 Million (1934-1945)|
|Leopold II of Belgium||15 Million (1865-1909)|
|Abortion in China||13 Million (2008)|
|Hideki Tojo||5 Million (1941-1944)|
|Abortion in Canada||3.5 Million (1974-2013)|
|Ismail Enver Pasha Armenian Genocide||2.5 Million (1913-1919)|
Contrast the above death counts with the Spanish Inquisition (source):
Modern historical research has uncovered facts that dismantle many of these centuries-old falsehoods. Here are some quick corrections concerning popular misunderstandings:
- The Inquisition was originally welcomed to bring order to Europe because states saw an attack on the state’s faith as an attack on the state as well.
- The Inquisition technically had jurisdiction only over those professing to be Christians.
- The courts of the Inquisition were extremely fair compared to their secular counterparts at the time.
- The Inquisition was responsible for less than 100 witch-hunt deaths, and was the first judicial body to denounce the trials in Europe.
- Though torture was commonly used in all the courts of Europe at the time, the Inquisition used torture very infrequently.
- During the 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition, between 3,000-5,000 people were sentenced to death (about 1 per month).
- The Church executed no one.
Of course it wouldn't be fair to blame women for the appalling '60s and its sexual revolution. Men are equally to blame, and one such man is the dishonourable politician and Prime Minister of Canada, Pierre Elliott Trudeau. He changed many of Canada's laws with the Omnibus Bill (C-150), which decriminalized contraception and abortion. Here are the results of that vote, on a sad day in May of 1969:
★ 149 for (119 Liberals, 18 New Democrats, 12 Progressive Conservatives)
★ 55 against (43 Progressive Conservatives, 11 Créditistes, 1 Liberal)
When men decided to 'sleep' with multiple women either through pre-marital sex or infidelity, the consequences were severe: divorce rates increased, families were destroyed, and children became fatherless. Heterosexuals (not homosexuals) are responsible for the destruction of the family.
Men will go to any length to have their cake and eat it too. In order to achieve the goal of having multiple sexual partners without any consequences, men invented the contraceptive pill in 1959. This would have the effect of rendering women temporarily infertile, allowing men to have their way. This extreme form of contraception degraded both men and women to such a degree, that it literally created a hyper-sexualized culture in which the participants became enslaved, and behaved as animals. The result was that the pornography industry took off, and children became hyper-sexualized (Sext Up Kids).
It's no wonder that child porn and pedophilia cases have risen, and elementary schools are now imposing sexual education to include masturbation, anal sex, homosexuality, and 6-gender theory. For more details on elementary sexual education in Ontario, have a look at this thorough analysis by Campaign Life Coalition and the protest against the new curriculum on June 7th at Queen's Park. In Canada, our very own Education Minister, Ben Levin, has been charged and sentenced to 3 years in prison for the following crimes:
- six months for creating and possessing child pornography
- a year for making child porn
- 18 months for counselling to commit a sexual assault
A New Reality - PMS-D-CHASSM
Unfortunately, society quickly abandoned Judeo-Christian values altogether, and a new culture of death was born in favour of these core values: pre-marital sex (PMS), divorce (D), contraception (C), and (A) abortion. The situation became so decadent, that it was not a surprise that homosexuality (H) was normalized, and same-sex marriage (SSM) was legalized (perfectly consistent with this new value system). In my opinion, western civilization is imploding and will fall like Rome. It is currently under a new imperialistic anti-Judeo-Christian value system, which I call, PMS-D-CHASSM. This new culture has already begun to persecute faithful Jews and Christians, resulting in job losses and law suits.
After the Fall
When it all finally comes to pass, and western civilization has fallen, the few believers who survive will pick up the pieces, and begin again to rebuild God's kingdom, with His grace. The Catholic Church is a beacon of light, which will survive it all, even if it has to temporarily go underground. These prophetic words written in 1969-1970 by Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) are a great source of hope:
The church will become small and will have to start afresh more or less from the beginning. She will no longer be able to inhabit many of the edifices she built in prosperity. As the number of her adherents diminishes . . . she will lose many of her social privileges. . . As a small society, [the Church] will make much bigger demands on the initiative of her individual members.Final Warning
It will be hard-going for the Church, for the process of crystallization and clarification will cost her much valuable energy. It will make her poor and cause her to become the Church of the meek . . . The process will be long and wearisome as was the road from the false progressivism on the eve of the French Revolution – when a bishop might be thought smart if he made fun of dogmas and even insinuated that the existence of God was by no means certain . . . But when the trial of this sifting is past, a great power will flow from a more spiritualized and simplified Church. Men in a totally planned world will find themselves unspeakably lonely. If they have completely lost sight of God, they will feel the whole horror of their poverty. Then they will discover the little flock of believers as something wholly new. They will discover it as a hope that is meant for them, an answer for which they have always been searching in secret.
And so it seems certain to me that the Church is facing very hard times. The real crisis has scarcely begun. We will have to count on terrific upheavals. But I am equally certain about what will remain at the end: not the Church of the political cult, which is dead already with Gobel, but the Church of faith. She may well no longer be the dominant social power to the extent that she was until recently; but she will enjoy a fresh blossoming and be seen as man’s home, where he will find life and hope beyond death.
-- Faith and the Future
Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few. -- Matthew 7:13-14Related
